Last night, the Open Space & Trails Committee (OSTC) presented a project overview to the Community Preservation Committee.
The OSTC asked that the CPC consider creating a warrant article for April 2014 Town Meeting, to commit CPA funds for an initial phase of design. The OSTC made it clear that it has essentially completed as much due diligence as it can without funding to explore some initial-design work (e.g., title search, land survey, public outreach plan). The requested CPA funds will allow our town to make a responsible and informed decision on how best to pursue the project in full, if at all.
Both parties agreed to regroup on Monday February 3rd, at which time the CPC will review a formal proposal for requested CPA funds and will vote on creating the necessary warrant article for April Town Meeting.
